Rowlett Police Department Wins National Police Specialty Vehicle Design Competition With a SkinzWraps CSI-Type Design

DALLAS, TX – SkinzWraps, Inc., a full-service vehicle wrap company, announced today that the vehicle wrap which it designed for the Rowlett Police Department won first prize in a national competition. The Rowlett Police Department received a notification on June 26, 2007, that it had won first place in the National Specialty Vehicle Design Competition conducted by Law and Order magazine. Working side by side with the Rowlett Police Department, SkinzWraps designers created a CSI-type design that included crime scene tape, an electron microscope enlargement of human DNA, a super-sized fingerprint, and a magnifying glass.

The 2007 Police Vehicle Design Contest judging was based on the integrity of the designs submitted to the competition, as well as how each design met the criteria as outlined in the contest guidelines. Dozens of entries were received, and the judges had a difficult task while making their final decisions, noted the Rowlett Police Department saying, “They did a beautiful job on it. There is pride in the agency, and it shows.” Rowlett Police Chief Matt Walling said, “We are extremely pleased that we have won this notable award. The competition is very fierce and included numerous agencies from all over the United States. To have us win says a lot about the hard work, dedication, and pride of the officers involved.” When asked about the award, SkinzWraps Chairman & CEO Peter Salaverry said, “This is a great example of how our design team collaborates with our clients to achieve award-winning results.”
